Join the largest book club on the West Coast and find programming inspired by "They Called Us Enemy" at your local library.
Join us for our first Crafternoon program of the summer where we explore the art of Japanese paper folding, also known as origami. We will have supplies for attendees to try different origami folding designs, including the crane, long considered a symbol of peace and resilience. This program is part of the One Book, One Coast initiative.
One Book, One Coast is a shared community reading program that celebrates historical learning and reflection, encourages community conversations, and promotes civil discourse. The featured title is They Called Us Enemy by George Takei, Steven Scott, and Justin Eisinger and illustrated by Harmony Becker.
