Join the largest book club on the West Coast and find programming inspired by "They Called Us Enemy" at your local library.

Join your fellow readers for a discussion on They Called Us Enemy by George Takei, a graphic memoir detailing the author’s childhood spent in the internment camps following the relocation orders for Japanese Americans in World War II. This book discussion program is intended for adults and will be facilitated by library staff.

This program will be held at the Locke Boarding House (13916 Main St, Walnut Grove, CA 95690)

One Book, One Coast is a shared community reading program that celebrates historical learning and reflection, encourages community conversations, and promotes civil discourse. The featured title is They Called Us Enemy by George Takei, Steven Scott, and Justin Eisinger and illustrated by Harmony Becker.
