Charles Dickens’ Bleak House was published in serial form from March 1852 to September 1853. We will read and discuss the novel using the following schedule:

April 11, 2026, Chapters 1 to 10

April 25, 2026, Chapters 11 to 19

May 9, 2026, Chapters 20 to 29

May 23, 2026, Chapters 30 to 38

June 13, 2026, Chapters 39 to 49

June 27, 2026, Chapters 50 to 59

July 11, 2026, Chapters 60 to 67

We will meet both in-person and online on second and fourth Saturdays at 10:30 AM to discuss each reading. Please register if you wish to join the Zoom discussion.

About the branch

Located in midtown Sacramento, the Ella K. McClatchy Library is located in a converted residential building and features a gender-neutral restroom, patio with access to a self-serve bike repair station, study room, reservable meeting room, and quiet reading room. The second floor is accessible by elevator.
