Read classic books slowly and meet to discuss the scheduled reading along the way.
To the Lighthouse, Virginia Woolf's 1927 novel about the Ramsay family on their summer vacations, would become a masterpiece of the Modern era. The Classics Reading Group will read the book in two parts and will meet to discuss each section.
July 26: Part I “The Window”
August 9: Part II “Time Passes” and Part III “The Lighthouse”
This is a "hybrid" program that meets both in-person at the McClatchy Library and virtually on Zoom. Registration is not required to attend in person; but is required for Zoom.

Located in midtown Sacramento, the Ella K. McClatchy Library is located in a converted residential building and features a gender-neutral restroom, patio with access to a self-serve bike repair station, study room, reservable meeting room, and quiet reading room. The second floor is accessible by elevator.
