Our Friends of the Library are welcoming the community to join us for a story walk and some ice cream! Participants will be encouraged to sign up for our Summer Reading Challenge.
There’s an ice cream party at the Robbie Waters Library on Saturday, June 14, from noon to 2 p.m. This free family event is sponsored by Pocket-Greenhaven Friends of the Library in recognition of the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge. Kids can enjoy free ice cream and choose a free book from the Friends Bookstore after completing a fun “story walk.” Other activities include a tattoo station and photo booth.
Kids can sign up for the annual Reading Challenge program that continues through Aug. 15. Books, e-books, graphic novels, magazines and audiobooks count towards prizes.
