Increasingly hot summers, prolonged droughts, and severe winter storms are a fact of life for gardeners in the Sacramento region. The UC Davis Arboretum and public garden has been trialing a new suite of plants and gardening practices to better contend with the new extremes of our climate. Come learn about plants and garden techniques you can use for a low water, heat-tolerant, biodiversity supporting garden suitable for this region!

Located in midtown Sacramento, the Ella K. McClatchy Library is located in a converted residential building and features a gender-neutral restroom, patio with access to a self-serve bike repair station, study room, reservable meeting room, and quiet reading room. The second floor is accessible by elevator.
