Learn to design and carve your own lino block stamp for cards, art prints, or clothing.
This two-hour class will be presented by Heather Hogan of Tenacious Goods. Participants will leave the class knowing how to carve and print their own lino block design.
The class will cover:
Complete beginners without any drawing experience will thrive in this class. Artists with experience in other art mediums will benefit from learning this new art form. Students should feel comfortable working with their hands and viewing small details on the linoleum block (bring your reading glasses). Sitting and standing, rolling up ink, and applying pressure to the block is required. The ink can stain clothing, so students may want to bring an apron. The blade is sharp, so students will need to remain mindful of making cuts away from their hand/body. This workshop is appropriate for teens and adults.
