Sylvan Oaks Meeting RoomLearn how to keep your houseplants alive and thriving with the Citrus Heights Water District!
Bring your indoor plants back to life with this Citrus Heights Water District’s WaterSmart Workshop. Led by indoor plant expert Lori Ann Asmus, owner of The Emerald City Interior Landscape Services, this workshop draws on decades of professional experience caring for and designing thriving interior landscapes.
Whether you’re a seasoned plant parent or just getting started, this workshop will help you create healthier, longer-lasting houseplants. Learn how to identify the right light conditions for different plants, recognize signs of overwatering and underwatering, and develop watering habits that support strong growth. We’ll cover soil selection, drainage, fertilizing basics, repotting tips, and common plant problems such as pests, yellowing leaves, and root rot.
You’ll also discover which houseplants are best suited for various indoor environments and how small adjustments can make a big difference in plant health. Leave with practical tips, expert guidance, and the confidence to keep your houseplants thriving year-round.
