The Sacramento Room invites you to the 2025 Sacramento Archives Crawl. See archival and special collection treasures, presentations, and behind-the-scene tours!
Every October, in celebration of National Archives Month, archives and special collections libraries from throughout the Sacramento region open their doors to the public and showcase their rarely seen holdings during the Sacramento Archives Crawl.
The Crawl is held at four host institution sites in downtown Sacramento: the California State Archives, California State Library, Center for Sacramento History, and the Sacramento Room at the Sacramento Public Library. Each site hosts a number of local archives, historical societies, and preservation organizations that bring out some of their treasures for visitors to enjoy.
Join us at the Sacramento Library and see what this year's Archives Crawl has to show! As you tour among the four host archives, remember to gather stamps in your passport, have a chat with the archivists, see presentations by local historians, musicians, and organizations, and go on special behind-the-scenes tours!
Free bus transportation is provided between all four locations.
