Join the Film Group at Dreamland Cinema for a special screening of Smithereens.
In this group, we aim to enhance our understanding of a film by reading a relevant book beforehand. For this event, we’ll be discussing Smithereens and Susan Seidelman’s contributions to it, as explored in her memoir, Desperately Seeking Something: A Memoir About Movies, Mothers, and Material Girls.

Come prepared! Plan to discuss pages 1-133 from Desperately Seeking Something: A Memoir About Movies, Mothers, and Material Girls.
Library Program staff will lead a discussion about the film and book following the screening.
Registration does not guarantee a seat.
Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure we begin on time. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Film screening will begin at 7 p.m.
Copies of the book will be made available to registrants.
